Josh Cryer Case adjourned - The Courier - 23rd January

Newcastle University Law student court case adjourned until February 14

The case against Newcastle student Josh Cryer, who was charged with racially abusing Stan Collymore on Twitter, was adjourned this morning.
The 21 year old from Jesmond faces two public order offences following complaints made to the police by the talkSPORT pundit earlier this month.
Cryer was excused attendance at Newcastle Magistrates Court today, with the hearing being rearranged for February 14.
He was arrested after the former Liverpool and England striker reported the alleged abuse to Staffordshire Police, who passed the matter on to Northumbria Police.
Collymore, who was capped three times by England at senior level, campaigns against racism and is also a supporter of the charity Depression Alliance.
